Happy Valentine's Day

Remember trading Valentines with your classmates and teacher when you were young? In honor of Valentine's Day I thought I'd share this Valentine that my grandmother received from her first teacher in the early 1900s.

On the back it is inscribed, "Stella, from Miss Knight."

Here's to all the many kinds of love that make our lives meaningful.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The eskimos had fifty-two names for snow
because it was important to them:
there ought to be as many for love.

  2. Ahh. The golden age of illustration. The Keimig family has a family website that all contribute to and is open to Keimig members. I have met Keimig's I never knew existed on it but the neat thing is around various holidays the distant cousin who maintains the site has tons of cards that fit every occassion from this age. They are all so clever and great to see.
    Thanks for sharing Leslie
